The Dragon Forest in winter is an easy walk on the snow for children and families, a 1.4 km thematic flat ring path that winds partly through the woods among land-art works. It starts and ends at the same point near the Predazzo-Gardonè cable car (1650 m), in the Val di Fiemme Trentino Dolomites World Heritage.
The path takes about one hour with no need to be accompanied. The snow along the path is snowmobile groomed.

The powerful winged creatures populating the Latemar area have left visible traces which unveil their wish to show off. Find the traces of their passage along the 1,4 km long itinerary at the feet of the Latemar among the marvels of the beautiful Val di Fiemme Dolomites World Heritage site.
You don’t need a guide, walk on the snow and be inspired. A mountain holiday with children here means a story encouraging kids to look up with bright open eyes and reveal their hearts and imagination. The installations along the path were made by local artists, local students from the school “Liceo Artistico Soraperra” in Pozza di Fassa who worked with Marco Nones. They walked together to be inspired, looked at rocks, trees, meadows to give life to the Dragon Forest with real masterpieces of land art enhancing the territory and the Trentino Dolomites.
The land art is contemporary, the art work respects the environment, it is made with natural materials and it is ephemeral. Wind, rain, snow and sun transforms it with the passing of time.

There are 3 game books (also available in German and Italian) ideal for children of all ages, young and old explorers wishing to discover the mountains in winter. While walking with the children in the Dragon Forest don’t forget to turn the pages of your game book, solve clues and get the final prize at the end of the itinerary after completing it.
Some of the prizes have been sculpted in wood by local artisans, based on the drawings of the students from the “Liceo Artistico Soraperra of Pozza di Fassa”.
