5 DAYS OF COMICS AND GRAPHIC NOVELS

From 9 to 13 July in the magnificent Gardonè amphitheater there is the second edition of the Festival Latemar LibriAnimati: five days dedicated to comics, graphic novels, illustrated stories for children and families!

There will be the stories as well as their authors. You will know Lamia and her perfumes, with Christian Galli; you will meet Nora, Gherd and little Alba, who dreams of becoming a fashion designer, with Marco Rocchi and Francesca Carità; you will see a crocodile and the bandits, with Federico Appel, and the monsters of Sofia Tantepaure with Simone Frasca. There will be animated readings and comic labs to experiment and get involved. The events are held in the natural amphitheater, not far from the arrival of the cable car Predazzo-Gardonè and they are free.

• Gardonè is located at 1650 m in Val di Fiemme in the Dolomites

Friendship, adventure, mystery

She has a friend who smells like peach. Mom tastes like vanilla. She, the adorable neighbour, smells like licorice. Lamia moves surrounded by incredible female figures. She knows what it means to lose someone you love: first Otto, the adorable furry, then Marzia, wrapped in mystery. And what about that weird guy who suddenly came out of nowhere? We need to investigate further.

In the middle of winter, four ten-year-old boys decide to leave on a secret mission. It’s not a simple escape from home, they want to find Simen’s older brother, Fredrik, who ran away for days after a fight with his parents. There’s a frozen lake to cross, a blizzard, and they’ll lose their sled. It won’t be an easy journey.

How do you invent a story? Sometimes it is enough to draw a crocodile, without thinking too much about it, to give birth to surprising stories. Big train robberies, with a sheriff. With a white sheet and a marker you can draw a character, make him say something and see what happens. And that’s what we’ll do.
